This Privacy Policy describes how FactualIQ (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you sign in to the SAN News Intelligence application (“the App”) using Google authentication.

1. Information We Collect

When you choose to sign in with Google, we request access to the following information from your Google Account:

• Basic profile information — your name and profile picture.
• Email address — used to identify your account and communicate with you.

We only access the information you explicitly authorize during the Google sign-in consent process. We do not access your Google password.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information received from your Google Account only to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• Communicate with you about your account or important updates.

We do not use information received from Google APIs to create, train, or improve any machine learning or artificial intelligence models, or for any purpose beyond those listed above.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who help us operate the App, bound by confidentiality obligations.
• When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.

4. Data Storage and Security

We store your information securely and apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the App’s services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. If you revoke the App’s access to your Google Account, we delete the information received from Google APIs within 30 days. You may also request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).

6. Google API Services

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Organizational Content

Content ingested, processed, or generated through the App on behalf of your organization is governed by the Master Services Agreement or other written agreement between your organization and us, which controls in the event of any conflict with this policy.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your information by emailing support@factualiq.ai.
• Revoke the App’s access to your Google Account at any time via your Google Account permissions.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for use by those under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
